Barleben, 22.06.2009:
On a still summer day with surprisingly little wind for the region Franz Kroha could welcome forty guests to a tour of the new extensions to the Barleben plant.
The presentation of the new plant halls and the new machinery disclosed to everybody the confidence Kroha has in a successful future. The ideal equipment and the perfect environment safeguard reliable performance and maximum quality – a continuation of the clear Kroha strategy.

Following a lively exchange of ideas in the evening the next day was marked by a completely different experience. Professor Norbert Harlander of forum fHelix took the participants on completely new paths of discovery in his own particular manner: “Blockades and potential in crisis ridden times – an interesting journey through development”, a presentation on creating greater awareness with many useful tips and ideas for both professionals and private persons; recognising and acknowledging personalities, contributing proactively to the organisation of professions and private life, and thinking about new ways. As the listeners we should take these ideas and give them some careful thought.

At the premier of the Wirtschaftsempfang des Landkreises, the administrative district’s trade reception, the Miesbach Town Hall became the venue for a great many representatives of SMEs and the public sector. Every third honour that evening went to Franz and Lotte Kroha for their life’s work from the founding of a small print shop that today has evolved into two outstanding printing establishments of national significance.

The wellwishers included (from the left in the photo) Oliver Reitz, managing director of the location’s marketing company, district administrator Dr Jakob Kreidl, and (on the right next to the celebrated guests) Federal Minister of Agriculture Ilse Aigner and the former mayor of the Kroha founding community Arnfried Färber.

Barleben, 20 February 2009:

The new technology for the Barleben plant is on the home straight. While the old installations are continuing their operations in the final stages of their service lives new machinery is already taking over regular production lines. The photo here shows three identical Bobst punchers of the latest generation. The new plant halls will therefore be fitted successively with their machine groups. Owing to the generously dimensioned spaces these installations can start operation virtually seamlessly under production conditions. A particularly effective mode of working at present even induces us to continue production with both old and new equipment. Just a few months more and production can continue on considerable quantities of top quality packaging in an all new, ideal environment without the constant presence of skilled workers and fitters.
